C.A.S.H. Advocates for a School Bond
In the last Message from the Chair, I outlined the school facilities portion of the Governor’s proposed 2014-15 State Budget, the status of Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) implementation, the State Allocation Board Program Review Subcommittee’s report, and the current status of Proposition 39 implementation. In this Message, I will provide an update on the recent C.A.S.H. Annual Conference, C.A.S.H.’s school bond advocacy effort, the State Treasurer’s recent spring bond sale, and the convening of the C.A.S.H. Finance Committee for a Statewide School Bond.

The following update was provided by OPSC.
Based on the most recent bond sale, the Office of Public School Construction is pleased to announce that $341.6 million has been made available from Propositions 47, 55, and 1D to fund School Facility Program projects. On Monday, April 7, 2014 at 3:00 p.m., the State Allocation Board will hold a consent only meeting for purposes of dispensing the bond proceeds to those school district projects that have submitted a valid certification and are on the Unfunded List (Lack of AB 55 Loans).
