CQSThe Los Angeles County Democratic Party (LACDP) unanimously endorsed the “The School Facilities Bond Act of 2016” at its monthly meeting.  The measure will provide $9 billion to help build and repair schools in districts all across California, including $2 billion for community colleges.  This bond act is on the ballot for the November 8, 2016 election.

The “The School Facilities Bond Act of 2016” provides necessary funding for the construction and repair of thousands of schools across the state which are in dire need as prior school bond funding has been depleted for some time.  The 2016 bond will enable infrastructure improvements to meet the needs of our children, teachers, and schools. LACDP joins more than 100 school districts, State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson, and many other elected officials and education proponents in support of this act.
