Today, the Yes On Prop. 51 campaign announced that Marshall Tuck endorsed the Kindergarten Through Community College Public Education Facilities Bond Act of 2016. The measure will allow all local communities to access vital funding to fix and repair old schools, ensure safe learning environments, and build new classrooms in areas experiencing severe overcrowding.

Torlakson: Vote Yes on Proposition 51
Our local schools and communities would lose hundreds of millions of dollars in desperately needed school facilities funding if Proposition 51 is not approved this November. Proposition 51 provides critically needed funding for K-12 and community colleges to repair and fix old schools and build new classrooms.
As an educator, parent and lifelong advocate for all children, I fundamentally believe that our state has an obligation to provide equal school facilities funding for all students. Too many of our schools are in need of vital health and safety repairs. Our career technical education programs that train returning veterans or displaced workers are in desperate need of additional resources, and in many areas we have schools that are experiencing severe overcrowding.
