CASH Maintenance Management Certificate Program
The CASH Maintenance Management Certificate Program (CMMCP) develops current and future maintenance professionals into leading experts in the school maintenance field. The CMMCP, led by experts from all areas of school maintenance, is a rigorous year-long program with course study both in and outside of the classroom.
CMMCP participants learn Planned Maintenance System (PMS) development, the effect of maintenance practices on student achievement, the legal requirements for facility repair in California, how to develop budgets to meet the expectations of school boards, and how to present to school boards, cabinets, and the public in a professional manner.
The CMMCP curriculum is delivered online, with weekly writing assignments and quizzes, supplemented by three in-person meetings:
- An intensive three-day boot camp (Spring)
- Mid-year group meeting at the CASH Fall Conference (October)
- Capstone Presentations and Graduation at the CASH Annual Conference on School Facilities (February).
Students benefit from real life scenario-based learning, and individual and peer-to-peer (group) projects.
The CMMCP has been specifically developed for Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Directors, Facilities Directors, Chief Business Officials (with maintenance responsibility), Purchasing Directors and Facilities Professionals looking to move into maintenance.
2020-21 CMMCP Application – Coming Soon
The next cohort of the CMMCP will be held Spring 2020 through February 2021.
Applications will be available late 2019 or early 2020.
