March 28, 2014
We are at a critical point in our advocacy for a 2014 statewide school bond, and we need your help to urge the Governor to support this effort.
We are requesting that each of our members, including both school districts and their business partners, draft a letter to the Governor encouraging him to support a school bond on the November ballot. We hope a groundswell of communications will convince the Governor of the significant need for an ongoing State-local partnership for the provision of school facilities.
Two possible template letters are identified below – one for school districts and one for businesses. It is important to personalize the letter and tell your unique story, highlighting the positive impact a bond would have on your community. The templates suggest selecting one specific point to include in your letter.
Time is of the essence, so please act promptly. We request that letters be mailed to the Governor’s office by Friday, April 18.

Pass the word along! School districts, please reach out to those with whom you do business and request their support. Associate members, please encourage your clients to draft their own letters.
