Local school district budgets are tight and are likely to get even tighter. School districts need to identify and maximize every available dollar. This workshop will identify a variety of local funds that can be used to support and sustain your school facility staff, projects, and programs. Allowable and prohibited expenditures from each fund will be addressed, as well as how to establish, administer, and properly account for each fund type. Areas that will be covered include but are not limited to:

• Capital Facility Funds

• Restricted Funds

• Joint Use Funds

• Use of Volunteers

• Local General Obligation Bonds

• Certificates of Participation

• Deferred Maintenance
