This workshop will cover the major components of designing and constructing
modernization projects. School district representatives; architects; and financial,
project, and construction planners will share their experiences, best practices, and
do’s and don’ts. Areas covered will include, but are not limited to:

  • Greening schools through modernization
  • Aligning curriculum and facilities
  • Achieving more than just ADA compliance
  • Maximizing state and local modernization dollars
  • Overcoming logistical problems, such as weather, interim housing, and scheduling
