ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
During these challenging fiscal times, LEA’s must be extra vigilant in managing their local assets. The LEA leadership team must be forward-thinking and avoid shortsighted, quick fixes that could be detrimental in the long run to the capital and operational health of the LEA. This workshop will explore various options available to LEA’s to manage and protect their capital assets and potentially generate additional capital dollars. Presenters will discuss best practices that can be used to weather the current fiscal storm and keep the LEA’s capital facilities program strong and fiscally viable in the near and long term.

Topics that will be covered include:
• Sale and lease of surplus property
• Nonuse penalties
• Lease revenue
• Routine restricted maintenance account
• Negotiated developer fees
• Legal implications of the above topics

Parking:

Self-parking at the Hyatt Regency is $3.50 for the first hour and $1.75 for each additional ½
hour with a $20.00 maximum. Valet parking is $6.00 for the first hour and $2.50 for each additional ½
