Do they have a legal right to make such requests? What does the law allow school districts to do or not do under the current fiscal situation? How should you respond to such requests for modifications in your developer fee program and processes? This workshop will cover the legal requirements of issues and challenges school districts are currently facing with developer fees including:
The afternoon portion of the workshop will cover the most significant basics of developer fees. It can serve as a primer for individuals not familiar with the laws, rules, regulations, and procedures for calculating, collecting, and using developer fees. And it will also serve as a refresher for those who have knowledge of developer fees but want to refine their knowledge and ensure that they have the most current information in this volatile fiscal and political environment.
