Don’t be Left OUT – What You Need to Registration: 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Program: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. SACRAMENTO Tuesday, August 24, 2010 Doubletree Hotel ONTARIO Ontario Airport Marriott 2200 E. Holt Blvd., Ontario In the past few years the Division of the State Architect (DSA) has increased scrutiny of the certification of school projects and its project close-out process, which has caused concern and uncertainty for many school districts and architects who work with them. In addition, more and more of the schools built with the first voter-approved bond dollars are reaching an age eligible to be modernized, some of which may have been closed out without DSA certification. The ability to get to modernization funding will require the initial project to be DSA-certified.
To address the continuing uncertainty surrounding the project close-out process,
C.A.S.H. is putting on this workshop to provide attendees with the most recent
developments on this critical issue, as well as practical tips on how to successfully
close out your projects in an efficient and timely manner. Presenters will focus
on the best practices of efficiently obtaining DSA project certification for past,
present, and future projects. The presentations will further explore opportunities
for contractual language and arrangements, automated systems for tracking the Panelist will cover the following topics:
