A decade in to the School Facility Program (SFP), many projects funded by the SFP will
soon be undergoing close-out audits with the Office of Public School Construction.
OPSC audit scope and processes have been a critical topic for the State Allocation Board,
which established a special sub-committee to address it.
This workshop will provide attendees with the most recent developments and
information on OPSC audits, including updates from the SAB Audit Sub-Committee and
Audit Working Group. Attendees will also hear from LEAs that have recently undergone
the OPSC audit, who will provide insight about what LEAs can do to be best prepared
for project close-out audits.
Specific topics to be discussed will be:
- The OPSC Audit Guide – How it reflects the audit experience
- The CDE Audit – A Look at Another Audit Program
- Important Considerations During Project Planning & Construction: Dealing with
Scope Changes and Avoiding Missteps that Could Jeopardize Your Project (Material
Inaccuracies)
All school districts and county offices of education that have been funded by the SFP
