C.A.S.H. 32nd Annual Conference on School Facilities

Your Challenges.  Your Solutions.  Your Conference!

Monday-Wednesday

February 21-23, 2011

Sacramento Convention Center and Hyatt Regency

Your Challenges - Your Solutions - Your Conference is the theme for the 32nd Annual C.A.S.H. Conference. This year’s conference will provide the latest about current state and federal funding opportunities, the status and implications of new laws and regulations, industry trends, the status of school maintenance funding and programs, and planning and fiscal management in an uncertain economic environment. The Conference will provide the Solutions to your Challenges making it YOUR conference.

Under the leadership of Cathy Allen, Chair of the C.A.S.H. Annual Conference Planning Committee and incoming C.A.S.H. Chair, the Committee has developed a comprehensive and timely series of topics and expert speakers. In addition to the opportunity to sharpen and update your knowledge of key policies and programs, this conference will provide attendees with opportunities to share information with colleagues, as well as network with key state agency representatives and legislative staff.

The C.A.S.H. Annual Conference is the premiere venue in the State to:

  • Learn what’s newRefresh and refine your knowledge about key policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate and network with knowledgeable practitioners and professionals in every aspect of school facilities including financing, planning, design, construction, and maintenance.

Here are some of the highlights for this year:

  • Lower Fees: The C.A.S.H. Board approved a rollback in the 2011 Annual Conference registration fees for both public and private sector members. The Board felt it would be helpful to our members to reduce the fees in the current economic climate.  Fees for public sector members have been rolled back to 2006 prices. Fees for private sector members are reduced to under $1,000.  Even with this reduction in fees, C.A.S.H. will continue to provide the top-quality content and first-class conference to which conference attendees have been accustomed.
  • New Conference Format: Understanding how difficult it is to be out of your office for four days, the Annual Conference Planning Committee has made some exciting changes to the format of this year’s conference. We have added content on Monday and condensed the conference down to three days, Monday – Wednesday, yet are still offering the same amount of educational content. On Monday we are offering exciting, interactive workshops you will not want to miss! Topics will include Professional Development, hands-on sessions on Building Information Modeling (BIM), classroom technology, and much more.
  • Clinics: This year’s conference offers six clinics that are designed to be in-depth, hands-on learning sessions where attendees will acquire information they can put into immediate use in their districts and businesses.
  • Roundtables: Roundtable discussions are designed to offer an exchange of ideas in small, informal settings. With over 25 roundtable topics, attendees will have the opportunity to interact with experts on a wide variety of issues related to school construction.
  • Workshops: There will be over 35 workshops on school construction, fiscal management, architecture, high performance, maintenance and operations, state agencies, planning, and programming issues.
  • School Tour: The school tour will take place on Wednesday, February 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This year’s tour will showcase Cosumnes Oaks Culinary Arts Institute in the Elk Grove Unified School District.
  • Expanded Trade Show: The Trade Show is open during the Welcome Reception on Monday, February 21 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. We will have break services and an after-lunch dessert in the exhibit hall on Tuesday, February 22. Don’t miss this great opportunity to visit over 200 vendors specializing in school facilities products and services.

As the premiere conference focused exclusively on all aspects of school facilities, C.A.S.H.’s 32nd Annual Conference is the solution to your challenges.  We hope you join us.
