Planning & Executing Successful Summer Projects

Maintenance, Modernization, Energy & Critical Construction Projects Delivered in a Compressed Time Frame

Tuesday, April 25, 2017

Friday, April 28, 2017

The April CASH Workshops in Sacramento and Ontario, on April 25th and 28th respectively, will focus on school district personnel and their architects and contractors preparing for summer maintenance, modernization and critical construction projects that may include modular installation, solar installation and other energy related work at school sites that must be delivered in the short term when students are not present.

There will be little time to start and complete projects between the last school day and the commencement of school at summers end. The deadlines for planning and staging such projects are upon us to make sure the projects are on time and on budget during the brief summer window. Topics that will be addressed include case studies of different types of projects, when DSA approval is required and not required, coordination within the project team, deciding on the construction delivery method and developing bids or a competitive selection process.
